Who is this course is for

This training is for occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other registered health professionals working with adults and children (OVER 4 YEARS of age) with neurological and developmental conditions to learn the CO-OP Approach.

Dr Hortensia Gimeno, Clinical Reader in Child Health Research, Barts Bone and Joint Health, Queen Mary University of London and Associate Director for Therapies Research, Barts Health NHS Trust, NIHR Advanced Fellow.

Dr Gimeno is an occupational therapist and active researcher with a background in acute and community paediatrics.

Anne Corbett MSc DipCOT has over 25 years experience as a children's occupational therapist in independent practice; as an NHS manager of community therapy services and is director of Learning2Practice (L2P London ltd).

Dates & Times

  • 9/10 July 2026 ( 9:30am - 4:30pm) and a consolidation session will be held on 25th November 2026
  • 3/4/5 November 2026 (9.00 am - 1.00pm) and a consolidation session will be held on 24th February 2027

The second stage is a consolidation day occurs 3/4 months post the foundation training course. After practicing CO-OP in your own clinical setting, you will return to join a small group half-day session to present a case study, discuss successes and challenges with implementing CO-OP, and have an opportunity for further practice of the areas presenting the greatest challenge
